Whole Foods: Yummy as a mofo.

Thursday, August 3rd, 2006

On Wednesday I went to Whole Foods for lunch and ate fettucine tossed in powdered cinnamon with walnuts and gorgonzola.

It was crap.

However, I also had some Bhutanese red rice salad with little mango cubes, and that kicked ass.

Yesterday I had some yellow potato salad (little yellow potatoes in a mustard vinaigrette with onions and other stuff), as well as some pasta salad with tomatoes (good) and artichokes (not so good).

Today I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes with cream gravy. I thought about the chicken fried steak, but I gotta save something for next week.

Ooooo, Ooooo! I also got some roll with parmesan baked on top, which is cool but kind of ordinary, but then I started eating it and there were slices of jalapeƱo inside.

I had a point. Oh yeah, all of this crap is on a bar, several bars, and it’s like $7.99 a pound, which is pretty cheap eatin’ for downtown. Also they’ve got other stuff, italian, stir-fry, pizza, sandwiches, all about the same. They switch up the stuff, see, every day.

I’m starting to like it in spite of myself. I think I’m going to eat there every day for a while, do mostly vegetable stuff. I don’t wanna hafta buy any new pants. The clearances aren’t for a while yet.

If anybody wants to get some lunch sometime, hit me up. There’s free parking.

Check back in a coupla days…
